THE EID SHOPPING FESTIVAL came to fruition in 2011, when Dr Shenaz Ghood, the founder of THE GHOOD FOUNDATION, discovered a gap in the market and an opportunity to help other aspiring entrepreneurs and home industries.

The festival offers over 300 exhibitors the chance to sell their products on a professional business platform. Any profit made at the event, is charitably returned to grow and develop it further for the exhibitors. 

The Foundation assists entrepreneurs grow into established businesses by providing them with training, education, coaching, communication and marketing strategies, as well as branding. Uplifts and motivates these enterprising home industry executives to create exciting, new and dignified opportunities for themselves. Our goal is to mould these vendors into the most successful entrepreneurs that they can be.

This programme isdirected at supporting and developing SMME’s and informal trade businesses through entrepreneurial guidance & advice, soft skills training, business etiquette as well as assistance.  We shall host entrepreneurship training sessions from time to time to provide a platform for one-on-one interpersonal communication with expert business coaches and mentors.
